The voices I'm watching in transition investing
These are the academics, practitioners, publications, and journalists I follow most closely as the sustainability transition unfolds — the researchers setting the intellectual agenda, the practitioners moving real capital at scale, the publications shaping the daily conversation, and the reporters who consistently break the stories worth reading.
How I built this list. Academics are picked on the basis of citation impact, prizes (including the Moskowitz Prize), and direct relevance to transition-finance practice. Practitioners are chosen for demonstrable leadership in sustainability strategy, capital deployment, or standards-setting, with a deliberate emphasis on the European and Dutch ecosystem most relevant to the work I do. Publications and journalists are selected for editorial depth, breaking-news track record, and influence within the institutional sustainable-finance community. This list focuses on Europe and the Netherlands for now, and I plan to expand it over time. But there are not enough hours in the day to read everything I want to read.
